This giant cigarette hanged from the ceiling of the sigh shop where I worked. We made it from a couple almost used up rolls of masking paper, some sticky sign vinyl for the filter, which I stuck some pieces of masking tape to. We used computer cut letters for the brand, and for the hot tip, I took some florescent orange wrinkled up vinyl, sprayed with a little dark grey paint. I finished it off by using a lighter to "burn" the fire end of the tube to blend it with the hot end.
